The Good & The Not So Good
What We Love:
There’s a long, proud history of being Canadian, along with amazing food and beautiful natural scenery that really defines Stoney Creek.
What We Don't:
We don’t love looking at the industrial areas here, and there are some more rundown buildings in the area, but overall it’s very nice.
What About the Neighbourhoods?
Stoney Creek is split into several distinct areas, as follows:
Stoney Creek Mountain
A sprawling area that offers a wide selection of houses for buyers of all kinds. This area is perfect if you need to be connected to major roadways (while still enjoying a beautiful view).
Old Stoney Creek
From the mountain, Stoney Creek’s downtown neighbourhood is just as easy for commuters, as well as high-quality homes that have some old-world charm to them.
Winona
This rural enclave of Stoney Creek carries with it a lot of history and a lot of charm. Residents love it here for the community feel and palpable sense of growth emerging in the area.
Lower Stoney Creek
Encompassing a wide swath of neighbourhoods, the Lower Stoney Creek area borders Hamilton and features some of the area’s most exciting growth prospects. Buyers flock here!

Our Local Favourites
As an extension of Hamilton, Stoney Creek also benefits from having some of the nicest waterfalls in Canada. The most famous one is the Devil’s Punch Bowl, which is a must for every local and visitor.
From there, check out the Punch Bowl Market and Bakery for some sweet treats, some of the area’s local wineries, and the Dofasco Rail Trail.
After all that, you’ll see why locals love Stoney Creek.
