The Good & The Not So Good

What We Love:
Old Ancaster has a quaint feel and many historical gems. It also includes shopping, spas, and a locals-favorite farmers market. You’ll likely fall in love with the vibe here!

What We Don't:
Ancaster’s location is a bit of a gift and a curse. Located along both sides of the 403, it can feel a bit separate from daily destinations and traffic is often going to be a source of stress.
What About the Neighbourhoods?
Ancaster is split into several distinct neighbourhoods, as follows:
Meadowlands
Mostly a mix of new construction: townhomes, condos, and detached luxury homes on smaller lots. The ravine lots here bring the real “wow” factor, while the area’s schools are some of the best regarded
Maple Lane/Nakoma/Parkview Heights
Some of Ancaster’s most affordable living is right here! Prime access to the 403, homes just south of the Hamilton Golf and Country Club, and near-constant growth.
Old Ancaster/Sulphur Springs
Incredibly unique properties, some rural and mostly large, with close highway access and a distinct sense of community opposed to some of the area’s rise in construction.

Our Local Favourites

What’s there to see in Ancaster? One of our favourite spots is Tiffany Falls. It’s one of the area’s signature waterfalls, and it is part of a beautiful conservation area that has the same name.
All it takes it a short, scenic hike from the entry point (just off Wilson Road), to the tranquil interior of the Bruce Trail – this is where you’ll find photographers trying to capture the serenity and natural beauty (trust us, your Instagram feed will benefit here).
Oh, and Costco. Everyone loves Costco.
