Bishop Ryan High School was built to ease the overcrowding of existing separate secondary schools. The first of its locations on Queenston road was officially opened on April 16, 1959. St. Eugene – SK-Gr8 French Immersion
On September 5th, 1951, workmen were still busy completing floors and installing electrical equipment as St. Eugene School opened its doors at 9:00 a.m. to 169 students who lived south of Dunsmure Road.
